How to get a Facebook Messenger Token

To obtain a token and set up the bot, you need to follow these steps in your Facebook account.

Step 1. Select or create a new page. For more details, see How to Create a Facebook Page.

Step 2. Create an application. For more details, see How to create an application on Facebook.

Step 3. Set up the application and get the token:

From the Add products to your app section, select Messenger and click the Set up button.
Select 2. Generate access tokens and click the Connect button.
Select Opt in to current Pages only and choose your page. Click the Continue button.
Then click the Save button.
Generation and linking completed. Click the Got it button.
Refresh the page and click the Generate button.
Review, check the box I Understand, and copy the token. Then click the Done button.
Add the token in chatbots and click the Connection button.
You will receive a Callback URL (webhook_endpoint) and Verify Token (verification_token).
Next, in Facebook, select 1. Configure webhooks and click the Configure button.
Insert the Callback URL and Verify Token that you received when entering the token in the SettingsWidget window. And click the Verify and Save button.
Next, in 2. Generate access tokens, click the Add Subscription button in the Webhook Subscription column.
Select all fields and click the Confirm button.
Under the top menu, activate the Live mode.
Once the window appears, click on the Basic Settings link.
You need to add a privacy policy URL.

On this page, select the category "Messenger Bots for Business".
Now switch to the Live mode.
