SIP account is an identifier (login and password) used to connect customer-premises equipment (CPE) to a Virtual PBX or a public switched telephone network (PSTN) node.
SIP account credentials are required for configuring a subscriber's VoIP equipment. Subscribers are not tied to a stationary telephone and can make calls through the virtual PBX using any VoIP equipment or specialized mobile applications.
The SIP account status indicates the current registration state of this equipment in the system:
Status — а green checkmark in a circle indicates successful registration.
- Registration successful
Status — а red cross in a circle indicates that registration failed.
- IP address does not match the binding — connection from a different IP address is restricted by the account settings.
- Incorrect password entered — the password specified during account setup is incorrect.
- Unavailable — the SIP account is currently out of the network's reach or is disconnected.
