E164 format — international standard (ITU-T Recommendation) called "The international public telecommunication numbering plan" that defines the numbering plan for the worldwide public switched telephone network (PSTN) and some other data networks. The number representation on B-party device usually starts with a "plus" (+) sign, indicating that the number includes a country code. When dialing a number, the appropriate international call prefix should typically precede the number (instead of the plus sign).
According to ITU, the general E.164 format should contain only digits, divided as follows:
- Country code (1 to 3 digits)
- Subscriber number (maximum 12 digits)
- Alternative formats are available (with city codes and country-specific numbers).
✅ Note: The original version and first edition of the E.164 standard was titled "Numbering plan for the ISDN era". |
Allow registering SIP accounts for the WebPhone without linking to a user
This feature allows registering SIP accounts for telephony through the widget without linking to a user. It is enabled by default for new users.
Users can simply activate a number, log into their personal account, select the widget, and start making calls immediately. This option allows disabling the SIP account to user linking for those who have it enabled, and provides the ability to disable this connection.
